Masking Tutorial

Chris has a great masking tutorial up today on the Tuesday Tools, Tips and Techniques thread over at our Creative Inspiration website. She made a beautiful fall card with this technique.

Hi today I would like to share this card I made using 1 stamp and one of my favorite techniques- masking!

To create this card I started with kraft cardstock, Dare 2B Artzy Texture A stamp set, Tim Holtz Distress Cardstock and Tim Holtz Distress Inks ( Forrest Moss, Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber & Fired Brick).

I started by stamping my image onto kraft cardstock.

I then stamped my image onto a piece of leftover cardstock and fussy cut out the image to use as a mask. I placed the "mask" over the stamped image and stamped the leave in another color.

You can see below how this creates a layered image.

I continued stamping until my entire card was filled up.

I then matted the card and added my greeting with Stamps. I hope you enjoyed this technique!

super fun and easy smooching tip and technique with Lisa

Lisa has a great tip and technique to share with you.. we are always looking for something fun, easy and new to try... be sure to check this out...... here is her post below and the link:  http://www.turtlesoup.scrappingturtle.com/viewtopic.php?t=17564

I am a huge fan of Missy Whidden's work! She recently started making You Tube videos and I love them! I could spent hours and hours watching her thought process. She does a technique she calls "smooshing". I love the results and have tried it lots of times. So today I would like to share one of her videos where she does the "smooshing" technique:http://youtu.be/Sq_udOa3xKw

Here is one of my pages using the technique:

For today's challenge, I would like you to try this technique on a card, layout, tag, etc. You can use whatever you want to smoosh- inks, Gelatos, paints, etc.
I can't wait to see your smooshing!
