Meet the New Design Team - Terry Robson and Tracy Feely

Today we share about the last two members of the Design Team.
First is Terry Robson.

I have been doing these crazy obsession they call scrapbooking my whole life. I made my first scrapbook when I was seven. My mother and I took a trip to New York City. I saved every piece of memorabilia from that trip from subway tokens to the wrapper from the gum they gave me on the airplane. I bought a scrapbook and taped everything I collected on the pages. Even at that age, I journal every adventure we had. Journalism is really important to me. I started “creatively” scrapbooking in 1996. I walked into a craft store in Juneau, AK and noticed the fun papers and stickers they were selling. With a bag of papers, stickers, glue stick and a basic scrapbooking magazine, I sat in a hotel room and made my first page. I have been hooked ever since. After over 20 years, I still love scrapbooking and the creative release it provides. Recently we migrated from Alaska to Florida.  Yes I know...one extreme to another.  I am loving being warm and being close to the ocean, palm trees, and my beloved pink birds.  I'm married to the sweetest and "best-est" husband ever for over 30+ years.  My priority is doing two page layouts of our many adventures while traveling.

You can find more of Terry's work in her gallery at Scrapbook.com - https://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=805085

And last but not least is Tracy Feely.

My name is Tracy and I live in Central Florida with my husband Gerry. I have 3 stepchildren and 3 grandchildren which you'll see in most of my layouts. I'm retired now so I have plenty of time to scrap, which I've been doing for abut 10 years now. I also enjoy card making and altering things occasionally .  I'm excited to be here in our new home and looking forward to working with everyone.

You can find more of Tracy's work on her blog at http://tracysscrappyhideaway@blogspot.com

Meet the Design Team - Julie Kairl and Karen Zabuska

First up today is Julie Kairl.

I have been paper crafting for the last 15 years, starting when my daughter asked me to attend a card making class with her.  Card making became my hobby for a couple of years and then I went to a scrapbooking class. Now I spend way more time scrapbooking than card-making. I am retired and spend most of my time involved in my paper crafting hobby one way or the other.  I teach 2 classes a week in my home town of Adelaide in South Australia and love it.  I don’t think I have a particular style but I do love to try different things and any new techniques or products I happen across, that take my fancy, will generally find their way into one of my projects.  I have one daughter and one grand-daughter who find themselves on 90% of my layouts. My husband is camera shy so it is very rare that I can get a photo of him to scrap.  I am very excited to be joining the Design Team here at Creative Inspirations and getting to know everyone here  Cheers, Julie.  You can find more of Julie's work on her blog  here.

And next up today is Karen Zabuska,

Hi everyone, I live in Southern California with my 2 adopted Beagles, Shabby & Jaimieson.  I have 2 grown sons who I refer as to "The Men". Both of them in the last 7 months have made me a Grandmother.  Gavin is 8 month & Atlas is 1 week old. I am a retired High School teacher after 32 years of teaching.  I have been retired 4 years now.  I am a single Mom who raised my "Men" by myself.  I enjoy scrapping, making cards, some altered Art & have gotten into Quilting.  You can find more of Karen's creations on her blog at http://www.calmcreations.blogpost.com/

Please be sure to welcome Julie and Karen by leaving them some love in the comments below!

Meet the Design Team - Ginni Gass and Joan Borgelt

Hi! My name is Ginni Gass. I’m an addicted scrapbooker and proud to admit it! I’ve been scrapping for almost 16 years now and have been on several design teams, published in a few magazines and participate in several forums/blogs/Facebook groups. I’ve been married to my husband Steve for over 26 years and between us we have a daughter, 3 sons, 1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons. Plus a dog and a cat (both male), so there’s a LOT of masculinity in my life! My husband and I retired in the summer of 2016 and returned to Southeast Alaska where we are currently building a small homestead in a semi-remote location on Prince of Wales Island. The only things in our little town are a ferry terminal (only goes to Ketchikan and back), a library, a one room school for all 12 grades and a boat dock! The population is only 156 people! The closest store is 25 miles away over a mountain pass and several rivers and creeks. There’s not even a traffic light on our island! It’s been quite an experience but one we both really love! We’ve spent most of the last year building the little cabin we currently call home and developing our property. Winters are usually relatively mild compared to what you’d picture in Alaska because we’re in the Southeast and in a rain forest. Summers are short and BUSY! Lots of fishing and hunting to do and then the food needs to be smoked and/or canned or frozen. Having grown up and living in suburbia all my life I’m learning a LOT! Sometimes life is difficult because we’re not finished building and I’m still learning, but it’s worth every second and I wouldn’t have it any other way! That means my scrappy style will be changing because I’ll be doing more scenic and outdoorsy pictures. Speaking of style, I’m up for just about anything. I love sketches (especially Bev’s) and I love challenges! My style is whatever works with the photos/project I’m working on. I have also done a LOT of heritage photos since my maternal grandfather was a photographer in WWI and WWII so maybe it’s in the blood. I look forward to sharing my work with you and to seeing your interpretations of my challenges!

You can find more of Ginni's creations on her blog at http://ginniscrappyworld.blogspot.com

My name is Joan Borgelt aka The Gov. I was a Licensing Manager by day and a passionate scrapbooker by night and retired last December.   I am a wife to Randy (37 years), mother to 3 grown children and a grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  My love for nostalgia, vintage finds and patterned paper (I’m an official paper hoarder) have kept me artistically intrigued. I have a variety of styles and skills and will try any technique at least once.

You can find more of Joan’s work on her blog at http://thegovsplace.blogspot.com/

Meet the Design Team - Colleen Lovette and Danielle Dums

Colleen and Danielle are returning for another term on the Creative Inspirations Design Team.

Meet Colleen...
Hi, Colleen from the beautiful state of Michigan. I am a mother, wife and grandmother to 5 very active kids. I have been scrapping for about 15 years but seriously scrapping for about 6 years. My style is eclectic and evolving. I love to make cards, scrapbook layouts, altered projects, as well as love making flowers and create most of the flowers on my projects. I use my Sizzix, other dies, Silhouette Cameo, punches and stamps to create the shapes and go from there.  You can see more of Colleen's creations on her blog at
http://scrappingranny-colleen.blogspot.com

And meet Danielle...
Hi! I’m Danielle Dums.  I’ve been scrapping for I think 10 years (wish I could remember….) and have been loving it more and more. I’ve realized while I like making layouts for myself, I like making them more for other people. And I love making cards. I’m the oldest of four kids. I was born with a birth defect, so I rely on a wheelchair to get me around and have limited use of my hands and legs. I am a big reader, and also like to knit using a knitting loom. I also love watching sports, listening to music (especially country), and hanging out with my family and friends. I also keep busy as a member of ACAP (Adaptive Community Approach Program) and volunteering.

Be sure to leave Colleen and Danielle some love below!  And check out the challenges on the Creative Inspirations Forum!

Meet the Design Team - Annie Collins and Bev Code

For the next few days we'll be introducing our new Design Team Members two at a time.  Please be sure to leave them some love below!
First up is Annie Collins.
18447262_10155356264341133_4780486609215

I am a wife and mother of three, two girls and one boy ranging in age from 7 thru 19. I was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey. I have been living in Florida for 24years now. I enjoy participating in my children’s school activities and have been a teacher’s assistant for many of those years.

I started scrapbooking ten years ago with Creative Memories. I have since changed styles and added to my skills. I love scrapbooking because it lets me combine my passion for photography, art, and family memories.

I am a Fiskars Certified Demonstrator (Fiskateer Crafting Ambassador #1326). I teach people all about Fiskars tools and products. I teach scrapbooking, card making, mini album, and altered items classes. I was teaching classes for Fiskars at AC Moore in Orlando, FL until they closed. I have been published on the Fiskateer site as part of the 3 Fiskateers Team and co-hosted an online crop. I am also part of the Fiskateers CIA team; I have completed the “Boo” mission and will continue to work on other missions as assigned.

I have taught classes at scrapbooking retreats for not only the retreat/store owner, but also for myself as an independent scrapbook consultant. I owned my company as a Top Line Creations Independent Consultant, which allowed me the opportunity to work in the Creating Keepsakes Convention in the Top Line Creations Booth. Although, I do not sell Top Line Creation products any longer I still have a passion for scrapbooking and product promotion. I also design and sell my own line of scrap wear T-shirts.

I have been a teacher’s assistant for various well known scrapbookers in the industry at a Creating Keepsake University.

I am currently not on any design teams. I had to take a short break from scrapbooking and card making to help my ailing Mother-in-law (whom has passed) and my daughter (who is now doing better). I have used this opportunity to continue learning about different techniques, ideas, styles, and how to think out of the box.

I would love to be a part of your design team. I feel I would be an asset to your team because I love sharing, teaching, inspiring others, and promoting scrapbooking. As for my style I would say I am ... the best words that come to mind are eclectic, forward moving, and trendy.
Next up is our fearless leader Bev Code!  We couldn't do all this without her!!!
Hi my name is Bev Code (admin here and personally posting as beecee)

Thanks to all that join us.. any questions there usually is someone around to help you out.
Welcome to our new home Creative Inspiration.
on a personal note:
I was new to online scrapping since Apr 2009. There were so many amazing sites that were my learning curve to this amazing world of scrapbooking. I am a wife, mother and gramma that loves being retired and now have time to scrap to my heart's content. I love scrapbooking along with fun things it entails with online friends, forums and FB. The learning process has been interesting and creative also. Other crafts I love also are needlepoint, sewing, knitting, crochet and taking lots of photos. Family and friends are the subjects of my scrapping along with nature, ancestry and vacation sites. My DH and I live  in Kitchener, Ontario in a brand new home we had built. We spend some time in Florida where I take my scrapping with me for the extended time.
You can find more of Bev's amazing work at http://beeceecreativity.blogspot.com/
