Birthday Bash #23 - quick gift bag

Cheryl is here today with a fun but easy gift bag.. here is what she has to share with you......

Have you ever needed to wrap a small gift but had no wrapping paper? I have. I came up with this quick gift bag out of necessity.

I always keep these brown lunch bags on hand. You can buy white, but I prefer brown. Just pick them up at the grocery store.

I put my gift inside the paper bag, then fold the top down. I normally have to trim it a little bit to make it look more even. I usually use a tape runner to hold the fold down, but you can staple the top if you like. For this bag, I folded a paper doily in half (something else I always keep a supply of) and glued it over the top of my folded bag.

I took a standard hole punch and punched two holes to run the ribbon through.

I ran one end of a fairly long ribbon in through the left hole and out through the right hole. I tied a bow on the front and left longer tails on it.

Here's my finished quick gift bag. Mine is fairly simple, but you can decorate yours as much or as little as you want. I've used die cuts, stickers, pieces of patterned paper ~ there are so many options.

You have until the end of the month to create ANY kind of a gift "holder" or you can try one of these quick bags.

Play along in forum for a ballot to win and add to the inlinz here for another ballot to the blog prize. Thanks for joining us.

Pull out my Cameo and scrappy supplies and got to work. Here are some of the things I created......

Birthday Bash #10 with a Tag

Cheryl celebrates the Birthday Bash with a cool Tag.

I love making tags to hang on my gifts. My daughter's birthday is next month, so she'll get this tag.

I buy my tags at the office supply store because I like for them to be heavy. I covered the tag with this pink patterned paper and punched a hole all the way through.

One thing I always do it make a hanger with matching twine. The round birthday digital stamp is from The Cutting Cafe. I punched it out and attached it with pop dots.

The final touch was to glue on a white bow.

My challenge to you is to make a tag. It doesn't have to be a birthday tag, but since this is our "Birthday Bash", I used a birthday tag for my example.

You have all month to play along.. enjoy and have fun.

Also attach to inlinz below.. we love to comment and also get a ballot to random Blog prize.

Graduation Celebrations

Phillis shared this fabulous graduation celebration with us. Below is here challenge she shares with us.

We celebrated my son's graduation from high school a couple weeks ago. I was so proud of my son. Getting some good photos was a challenge to me, but friends had some that I did not.

I dug out my stash of school related papers and embellishments. I used scraps that I had left from when he graduated from 6th grade. I layered many of these papers on top of each other. Here is the LO that I came up with:

My challenge to you is to use up old scraps by layering at least 3 on top of each other. You can make a LO, card, or atc. You can use the graduation theme or use another celebration

You have all month to play along,  link back here to share.  Thanks

Celebrating with some Bling

Ashley created this great challenge for us... Here is what she had to say.

"To me, no celebration is complete without a little bit of gold or silver bling.
My challenge is to incorporate some gold or silver onto your project. For my layout, I used gold."
